It seems like everything I do involves some sort of struggle just to get to where I am or where I want to be. I’ve struggled as a single mom, going through graduate school, on my career path, to make ends meet, to live my life... the list is endless. I had breast cancer, I fought it, I’m still fighting… to live… Life is not easy, we all have our struggles, our wars, our fights… we are warriors…I am a warrior! I fought damn hard to be where I am!

Yes, I know, we choose how we react to events in our lives. I didn’t just become bitter for no reason! This statement is for that chick that does their best to be positive about everything. You believe that everything happens for a reason, but that one person keeps betraying you and you keep letting them because “this time it’s going to be different”… EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!

Last I checked, being single meant you’re not dating the same person more than a few times or let alone, more than a few months!There’s that one person in life who claimed to be single and said they belonged to no one… they “belonged to the world!” They always jumped from one person (“not a relationship”) to another and wanted all the benefits of a relationship but not the commitment. This statement is for all the chicks who when they say they’re single, it means they aren’t dating someone else, they aren’t pretending to like someone until they find someone better and they can also commit to a relationship if that’s what they’re in! This chick is ok with being single, knowing that sometimes, they may want to cuddle or go out on a couple of dates, but they can also handle being alone!
